“Utterly brilliant, spellbinding and wonderful. I have a lump in my throat as I think about it ....” Audience member Celia F on The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe“Great evening last night - your show is amazing!!! Well done and very pleased that the BCA supported this production.”
Steven Mindel, Chairman of the BCA, on The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe
Mia Gibbons, Churches Together in Barnes, on The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe
“This production was such a pleasure. The fine story by C.S. Lewis was performed by a great team of actors, all of them perfectly in character. The Christian allegory worked gently but effectively in the beautiful mediaeval St Mary's Church, Barnes. The opening 40’s dance set the scene in wartime Britain, from where the evacuee children escape through the wardrobe to Narnia. Costumes were inventive and the simple set was used imaginatively. Many thanks to all and to the volunteers and Barnes Community Association. A special evening.”

“That was EXCELLENT. Thoroughly brilliant production. My daughter and her friend were scared witless by the White Witch. The acting, the pace, the energy, the eerie music - all amazing. Well done to all.” Audience member Laura v d B on The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe
“A production of a high calibre and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It had great direction, an inventive set design within the church itself, excellent costumes, a well thought out and realistic sound track, a surprisingly complex lighting design...and good acting from all the performers. A pre- Halloween treat!"

“Working with Shadow Road was a very exciting experience, especially as we’d not organised a theatrical production here at London Wetland Centre before. So we were delighted when Emma King-Farlow wrote bespoke productions for us, both for our St George’s Day activities and Robin Hood. She managed to use the unique nature of the Centre to maximise its potential for both plays. Although it was very hard work for both parties managing the events, Shadow Road were always extremely professional and the end productions were thrilling – our visitors loved them!"Catherine Starling, Marketing & Communications Manager, WWT London Wetland Centre
Catherine worked with Shadow Road on St George’s Quest (April 2016) and Robin Hood (June-July 2016) at the WWT London Wetland Centre.

“Emma King-Farlow's promenade production of Robin Hood was an outstanding summer event at the London Wetland Centre. ...Using the Centre's outdoor locations to the hilt, Robin and his merry men (and women) impressed with expert sword fighting, breathtaking derring-do and an unexpectedly moving climax.
...Congratulations to Emma on an adventurous and spectacular production."
Robin Eastwood writing about Robin Hood in Prospect magazine
“The programme notes describe this production as “immersive”, and it’s certainly that. The audience literally follow the action as it moves from one part of the nature reserve to another. We get a wedding, spectacularly-staged sword fights, romance, death and music and songs, all skilfully staged to make the most of the spectacular outdoor setting...
...Robin Hood is family entertainment at its best. There’s something for everyone. The four people I went with (two adults and two young children) all thoroughly enjoyed it. I did too. On this evidence, Shadow Road Productions is a company with a very bright future.” Roger Pettit on Robin Hood

“I worked with Emma in my capacity as Chairman of the Barnes Community Players. We asked Emma to direct the most challenging production we have ever undertaken, Jesus Christ Superstar. Once she decided she was going to take on the challenge, Emma stuck with it and successfully overcame all obstacles with a professional, personable and graceful attitude. The use of the church, lighting, interpretation of the story lines, costumes, it all came together in a remarkable show, which everyone loved to be part of and was proud to have engaged with. The Barnes Community Players put their trust in Emma's ability and we were not disappointed. She 'gets the job done' with grace, integrity and efficiency, creating a remarkable show. I would recommend Emma without hesitation."
Patrick Van den Bergh, Director of Healthcare at Watkins Gray International LLP/ Chairman of the Barnes Community Players
Patrick worked with Emma on an 800th Anniversary production of Jesus Christ Superstar at St Mary’s Barnes in June 2015.

“It was an awe-inspiring evening... A brilliant script with the perfect blend of humour, pathos and meaning. It was very thought-provoking and you hit all the notes exactly. ...Will you be able to take it forward? Many more need to see it." Lieutenant General Sir A.D.S. on Dreams From The Pit“What a huge and enjoyable success last night was, brilliantly written and performed and directed. ...everyone was buzzing afterwards with praise. A difficult subject to address, but done with sensitivity and humour." Audience Member Fiona S. on Dreams From The Pit
“I firmly believe that Dreams From The Pit should go places now. The play is simply too powerful for only one show a year." Jake Wood (TA Veteran, PTSD sufferer & author) on Dreams From The Pit
